(re)public fever

in collaboration with Hüseyin Yılmaz

Hüseyin Yılmaz was born in Malatya in 1968. He graduated ranking first class from the Department of Photography of Marmara University. He also came first at the International Association Independent Art Design Schools of Fine Art Faculty Award at Marmara University. In  2010, he was co-founder of Espas Art and Theory Publications, which published art books only. He is also the executive editor of Espas Publications and has translated Street Photography, by Clive Scott; On Being a Photographer, by David Hurn; Witness of Our Time – Working Lives of Documentary Photographers, by Ken Light; The Education of a Photographer,  edited by Charles H. Traub, Steven Heller, and co-translated into Turkish, by Adam Bell. Hüseyin Yilmaz was assistant curator of the Bursa International Photography Festival in 2012. He is co-creator of Dog Food, a newspaper based on the philosophy of the Cynics for photographers where free symposiums for the local photography community are offered.
