Jumana Manna in Dandilands

Jumana Manna’s work portrays John Edward Dinsmore, a botanist from the American Colony in Jerusalem studying a plant. Part of a larger research, she is looking at how the scientific and aesthetic study of the Levant was intertwined with a Christian missionary impulse from the West.
